In today’s post I show how to style a maxi cardigan in 3 different ways. I think that oversized cardigan are the kind of clothing that you fall in love with when you see them at the store but many of these times you leave it because maybe it’s not the most practical item. Well, let me tell you that is happens just the opposite! They have endless options specially if you think about them as if they were coats or jackets. At the end, they are an outwear piece like any other but they are warmer and more cozy.

As I was going through different options to style this cardigan, I realized that I loved all of them because they were so different from one to another. I usually suggest you on the posts other ways to combine the same item, but this time I thought it was worth it to actually show you how the three options look ;) I keep the same blouse and cardigan and I just change the bottom -culottes, wide leg pants & faux-leather shorts-  and the shoes.   And the last one, an easy-going and casual look for any autumn-ish kinda day. Over the knee boots are my go-to shoes during autumn/winter because they are warm, comfy and so so flattering.

Hoy os traigo no uno, si no tres looks diferentes con una misma prenda. Durante mucho tiempo me fijaba en estos cardigans largos, y aunque me gustaban mucho, pensaba que igual no luego no le daba tanto uso como pensaba… ¡Pues todo lo contrario! Al final tienen muchas posibilidades, sobre todo si piensas en ellos como abrigo o chaqueta, combinan con todo y encima son calentitos y gustosos.

Conforme probaba distintas opciones para mostraros un look con este rebecón, todas me gustaban y cada una de ellas tenía un estilo diferente. Muchas veces os hago sugerencias en el blog sobre cómo combinar lo que llevo pero de otra forma, así que esta vez os lo enseño mejor ;) Como véis, lo único que he ido variando ha sido la parte de abajo -pantalón de pernera ancha, culottes & shorts de polipiel- y los zapatos.

LOOK #1

The first look with the culottes is perfect for those days when you feel like more dressed-up but without being so forced. In my opinion, the perfect laid-back outfit consists on basic pieces with a twist and most of the times it includes heels. This my go-to option when I’m hanging out with the girls or on date with Salva. Culottes are so flattering and why I’m lovin’ them so much is because I just can skip jeans from my daily basis whenever I want!

Este primer look es arreglado pero informal, perfecto para esos días en los que te apetece arreglarte un poquito más que de costumbre, o para una comida, cena… En estas ocasiones me gusta arreglarme pero que se vea natural, así que mi truco es optar por prendas básicas pero que sean distintas -como los culottes- y siempre (o casi siempre) añadir tacón. Los culottes son una gran alternativa en el armario a los pantalones de diario, y yo cada vez soy más fan de ellos!

LOOK #2

The second look is perfect for those who works in the office or that they have to get dressed very formal every day in a row. Well, if it’s not your case, you can still wear them and I highly recommend you! I love them because they have their inner elegant vibe and these ones I’m wearing are too long and too big, but I love how they look fixed with the belt. That’s why I don’t take them to the seamstress :P I’m just wondering how it would look to combine this maxi cardigan on top of a suit… Definitely, I have to try it!

Este segundo look me parece una opción perfecta para quienes trabajáis en oficina o tenéis que vestir bastante formal a diario. Si no es vuestro caso, es igual, a mi los pantalones de pernera ancha me encantan y éstos que me quedan muy largos y sueltos de cintura, mi truco es subirlos más de lo normal y añadir cinturón. Me encanta cómo quedan, por eso no los he llevado a arreglar :P Incluso se me ocurre que puede quedar muy chulo este cardigan combinado encima de un traje de chaqueta. Lo probaré sin duda ;).

And the last one, an easy-going and casual look for any autumn/winter-ish kinda day, or if it’s the case of a mommy running after her baby, or even for those who banned heels from their closet. Over the knee boots are my go-to shoes during these two seasons because they are warm, comfy and so so flattering. My tip here is to opt for bold accessories, so take out your party earrings and combine them with a hat or beanie ;)

Y por último, un look muy otoñal y apto para todos los días, para las mamás que tienen que correr detrás del baby que se le escapa, o a las que tenéis vetada la entrada a los tacones. Las botas por encima de la rodilla son mis mejores amigas durante el otoño/invierno porque abrigan, son calentitas y encima estilizan. Eso sí, para no caer en algo típico, optar por complementos con personalidad! Saca los pendientes party y combínalos con sombrero o gorro ;)
