3 ways to wear: Velvet jumpsuit

portado 3 ways velvet jumpsuit

Last month, I showed you «3 ways to wear a maxi-cardigan» (link post!), and I promised I will continue with this type of posts. Well, this time I’m showing you 3 ways to wear a velvet jumpsuit. Now that velvet is one of the hottest trend of the season, specially during Christmas’ Eve, it’s definitely a safe and good bet. I love to mix not only colors and prints but also textures and velvet is one of my favorites! Actually, velvet is not a new love for me, I shared with you last Christmas another look wearing a velvet palazzo pants (link post!) ;) You know that I’m a jumpsuit/overall lover, my collection is growing up so fast and I was seeking for a party jumpsuit which turned to be a velvet one. I love it for a party look but also for any daily outfit.

//

Although I’m not obsessed with superpositions game as I used to be, I still looove how it looks a sweater paired with a lace dress or top. I thought that this may works with a jumpsuit too, and I was not wrong. This jumpsuit has wide leg and long, so in my case wear high heels is mandatory, so I added a faux-leather jacket in order to add a sport touch. Ok, maybe this is not proper for a daily outfit, but I think is the coolest outfit you can thrown for a lunch/dinner with da girls ;) Definitely, I will have a try to pair this jumpsuit with a plain cotton tee, denim jacket and wide heeled booties. Anyway, the important thing is to play with strong items, no matter if we talk about the rest of the pieces or accessories, because they will change the whole appearance!

LOOK #2

This second look is more dressed-up and glam, perfect for special events such as Christmas Eve. Because it’s winter, I will always try to pair any jumpsuit or dress with thin braces with a top underneath. I bought this thin sweater thinking that it would be the perfect piece to wear when I want to look effortless-chic, but it looks even better this way. I still remember how expensive this cardigan was but it has been one of my best investment when it comes to clothes. Every time I’m looking for an elegant, warm and cozy jacket, I always go for this one, I swear. In case you want to get all-glam outfit, them go for a faux-fur coat or a long coat.

Among all the ideas I’m giving you on today’s post, this one is my favorite, and actually the first idea I had in mind. I love the mix of a velvet jumpsuit with this stunning Mekkdes blazer with golden embroidery sleeves and the white blouse with the big bow. For me, it’s the perfect balance in between wearing something simple and comfy but elegant and so different. It’s not just the common combination but it doesn’t look too daring neither. There are so many situations and events in which I would wear this outfit, and depending on how you play with make-up, hairdo and complements the result will be so different.
