Yesterday, a daily reader told me that she noticed a change in my style in the last months and it’s totally truth but I would say «evolution» instead of «change». For a while now, I dare to mix and match colors and prints, maybe too much from the point of view of some of you (or people in general) and being honest, I don’t care anymore what people think. It must be so much complicated to dress in a way that everybody approves, even I would say impossible… So yes, I became addicted to mixing prints like something natural but from time to time I just want a basic outfit. This is one of those days, an outfit full fill in neutral colors paired in a very basic way but with the touch of colors thanks to the mustard heels. In my opinion, they mark the difference! What do you think?

Una lectora me decía ayer que de unos meses a esta parte mezclo mucho, para su gusto demasiado! Y es verdad que mi estilo ha evolucionado aún más estos últimos meses… Ahora me atrevo con muchas combinaciones y mezclas y, si os soy sincera, ya no reparo en el que dirán cuando me visto! Debe ser super complicado, si no imposible, vestirte de modo que a todo el mundo le guste y agrade… Así que sí, me he vuelto adicta a esas mezclas, lo que no quita que, de vez en cuando, prefiera looks más básicos a los que añada un toque ;) Éste es el caso, un look en tonos muy neutros y una combinación muy básica que se rompe con el toque de color de los salones… Para mi son los que marcan la diferencia! ¿Qué os parece?

  8. Cada vez que te veo ese bolso pienso «con tanto uso y está perfecto». No siempre lo caro es bueno, pero hay veces en las que sin duda merece la pena invertir en ciertos productos! Mi bolso negro está ya para sustituirlo, tendré que ir ya mirando alguno nuevo!

    1. yo creo que eso se nota mucho en zapatos y bolsos! Como tu dices, me he puesto este bolso hasta la saciedad y está igual que el primer día y los tacones negros de carolina herrera me los he puesto muchisimo y aunque ahí si se nota, mucho menos que en cualquier oros zapatos de Zara! y si yo también los he visto y me los voy a pillar, que si luego no son mostaza siempre se pueden devolver :)

Lo que si es verdad es que yo también he notado un cambio de finales de verano para acá, igual es porque no estas acostumbrada al frío de Madrid y ya que tienes que ir abrigadísima mejor con colores alegres y bonitos y mezclas que no colores apagados solo porque sea invierno! Pero aun así a mi me encanta tu estilo y esta muy bien que arriesgues y nos muestres lo que a ti te gusta :)
    Que te mejores pronto bonita, que tienes que estar recuperada para ir a disfrutar del buen tiempo y de tu familia :)

When I’m leafing through the outfits you posted over the last years, I indeed see a certain (natural!) change or evolution of style, which, however, is in no way going beyond the dimensions to which fashion in general changes/evolves. I do not think that your recent love of mixing prints and textures creates outfits that are more daring than some of the styles you created in the past. They are, of course, different, but all of your styles are extraordinary. Extraordinarily cool. As I wrote to you once, it’s such fun to read your blog because your outfits are not only beautiful/cool/stylish etc., but also wearable AND affordable (and traceable …. click, click «Thanks for your order!» ;-)). And this is the reason why reading your blog is much more fun to me than reading any fashion magazine. I’m well aware that it’s not the aim of your blog that all of your readers copy as many of your outfits as possible in every single detail (even though it may happen that one cannot resist doing this sometimes ;-)) or to please your readers every single day. If one of your outfits is not fully to my taste, I am looking forward to your next post which then is «extra wow» again in my eyes.
    I do understand your reader in so far as she is certainly looking forward to the daily dose of fashion inspiration from your blog (otherwise she would not be a daily reader). Having to realize that your outfits are recently becoming less and less stunning or wearable in HER eyes must be rather unsatisfactory. I would be unsatisfied as well if my cerebral reward center did not respond to the degree that I am used to. You certainly now what I mean, right? However, this is not YOUR fault. And it’s not HER fault, either. Everything changes/evolves …. you, your readers, fashion…. sometimes in opposed directions, but sometimes only temporarily, and therefore, these (constructively critical) readers should absolutely stay with you and wait and see what happens in the (near) future!!! I assume that you are concerned about any kind of criticism, also when it’s constructional. At least a little bit. All of your readers «know» you (to the extent that you present yourself in your blog) but you, on the other hand, do not know any of your readers…. Never mind, however, you do a great job and you know it :-)

  45. Ojee tu blog interesando por el comentario de tu lectora y encontré mucha genialidad, luz y color! Creo que deberíamos ser más valiente y experimentar tratando de expresarnos, ya que la ropa es la forma de expresión primordial.
    Como bien dijiste no se puede gustarle a todos, así que lo importante es gustarse a uno mismo, y el típico qué dira´n hace que seamos calcas, que vayamos a la segura, y al final todos vestimos como los maniquís de Zara. Sin embargo, tal vez, con algo más de atrevimiento, el street style sería mucho más divertido, y no sólo en las calles de las fahion week!

    1. amen a tu comentario! Como siempre digo, entiendo que la moda es para algunas personas tan sólo unas prendas, pero a otras muchas nos encanta divertirnos con ellas! A mi me gusta expresarme e incluso cambiar de un día a otro… Días que te apetece ir super femenina y sexy, otras más basicas y días que quieres rollo retro… Es lo divertido de la moda y lo bueno de los blogs, hay tantos que alguno tiene que haber de tu estilo ;)

    1. pues yo creo que lo principal es intenta borrar esos pensamientos que se nos vienen a la cabeza tipo «esos dos colores no pegan», «eso no me sienta bien» o «no creo que me guste». Mejor dejarlos a parte e intentarlo a ver qué tal! Muchas veces empiezo con una combinación, luego no me convence pero una vez lo tengo puesto todo, empiezan a surgir miles de ideas y de combinaciones que voy probando hasta que sale la definitiva :)

  64. La chaqueta es chulísima y además con los zapatos rompes el look y en vez de quedar como un look serio, queda como un look muy cañero!!

    Me encanta como te quedan los pantalones blancos. Creo que es una prenda complicada, ya que los pantalones blancos quedan o muy bien o muy mal.

  65. Hola! Soy una nueva seguidora del blog, hasta ahora me gustaron las propuestas. Yo estoy 100% a favor de animarse a mezclar, creo que eso es lo que le agrega el toque especial a los conjuntos, y lo que los hace diferentes (odio salir por la calle y ver a las mujeres prácticamente uniformadas…hay que animarse a ser distintas!). Me encantó el toque de color con los zapatos, y ni hablar del estampado de la chaqueta!

    1. They are my usual size and I can’t tell you how they look after washing because I didn’t wash them yet, hehehe!
