And just like this, in a blink of an eye, Autumn has arrived. I always said that summer is my favorite season and the best time of the year, but with the years, I’ve been falling in love with Fall. I really enjoy summer and its natural warm light; it seems like everyone is more happy when summer, doesn’t it?! And since I become mother, summers feel so different and they have a special meaning. The first summer and the first birthday party, the first dips in the pool… This year has been the summer of learning how to swim (well, just  a little bit!) and enjoy playing with water! Now, I spend the whole Autumn remembering all those good moments and make sure they are kept in my mind forever, thinking about what I would like to accomplish before next Summer arrives and this year has been. I love the first days when you actually can feel the chilly air and we can bring out thin sweaters, the first warm coffees in the middle of the afternoon, the first day of testing roasted chestnuts or the first time you need a blanket for the nap. What I love the most is to open the window early in the morning, letting the fresh air comes in and stay in bed for a while under my quilt! Also, these kind of outfits are the ones that makes me fall in love with Autumn even more. How fun and cool is to mix summer pieces with cozy sweaters and thin jackets? I don’t know you, but I think that sweaters paired with a mini skirt and tanned legs look so fabulous :)

Y así, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, ha llegado el otoño. Siempre he dicho que el verano es mi estación favorita y la mejor época del año, pero con el tiempo y los años, le he terminado cogiendo cariño al otoño. El verano se disfruta mucho, la luz es otra y el estado de ánimo cambia; todos parecemos más felices y las ganas de comernos la vida se contagian de unos a otros! Además, no sé si es porque me he convertido en madre, pero ahora siento los veranos distintos y cada uno tiene su significado. El primer verano de Olivia, su primer cumpleaños y sus primeros chapoteos, este año ha sido el verano de aprender a tirarnos a la piscina, de los manguitos y de disfrutar de verdad del agua… Y ahora el otoño lo empleo en encapsular muy bien todos esos grandes momentos que hemos vivido, reflexiono sobre cómo ha sido el año y que me quiero proponer cumplir antes de que llegue el próximo. Disfruto de los primeros días en los que las temperaturas bajan ligeramente y podemos sacar los primeros jerseis finitos, los primeros café calientes a mitad de la tarde, las primeras castañas asadas, el primer día que necesitas taparte con una manta a la hora de la siesta o el inmenso placer de abrir la ventana del dormitorio para sentir el aire fresco y taparme hasta las orejas con el edredón! Pero además de todo esto, adoro el otoño por combinaciones como esta. Me encanta poder combinar la ropa de verano con las prendas más abrigadas, y al igual que en abril unos jeans con jerseis y sandalias de tacón nos parece lo más, lo mismo me sucede ahora cuando pienso en combinar una minifalda -que encima con piernas bronceadas luce aún más!- con alguna parka o jersey.
