I’m a shoe girl and I think I’ve always been. Long before clothes get my attention, I already like shoes, and for our wedding, the first thing I looked for were the heels I wanted to wear. Recently my friends were debating whether it was better to invest in bags or shoes, and my decision is quite safe: SHOES. I have more designer shoes than bags and I’ll tell you something else: these are the shoes that I wear the least and I have a reason for that. When I invest that amount of money in shoes, I don’t want them to look like any other heels. They have to be special. They have to draw attention and keep great moments, and that’s something that a common shoes cannot do. What I like the most about heels or shoes is that they never lose that special feeling, that «je-ne-sais-quoi» that made you want to invest in them and actually make them worth every penny. Instead, I wear my brand bags so much more and although they are also special to me, they become so daily that they end up losing that magic halo. As an absolute and untiring fan of shoes -and also Carrie (Sex and The City)- I knew that my closet would not be complete until I had a pair of Manolos, as we like to name them and this model have become a tribute. Although these wonderful Manolo Blahnik’s champagned Hangisi heels are not my first pair, they have been in my wish-list since forever and I’m not going to lie… I was looking forward to strike them out from the list. There are other heels that I like depending on the season or trends, but I swore eternal love to these even before having them. They are the shoes of my dreams! Of course, this dream titled «A shoe love story» has room for many more shoes; I love this same model but in silk flower print or in gray wool tweed.

Soy una chica de zapatos y creo que siempre lo he sido. Tanto es así que, cuando aún la ropa no me llevaba tanto la atención, los zapatos ya me gustaban, y para nuestra boda lo primero que busqué fueron los zapatos! Así que cuando hace poco unas amigas debatían si era mejor invertir en bolsos o zapatos, yo lo tenía claro: ZAPATOS. Tengo más zapatos de firma que de bolso y os diré algo más: son los zapatos que menos me pongo y tiene un por qué. Cuando invierto tanto dinero en unos zapatos, no quiero que sean unos cualquiera, tienen que ser especiales. Tienen que llamar la atención y guardar grandes momentos, y eso no lo pueden hacer unos zapatos de diario. Lo que más me gusta de los zapatos es que nunca pierden ese toque especial, ese algo que hizo que quisieras invertir en ellos y que configuran gran parte de su halo mágico. Los bolsos, en cambio, me los pongo mucho más y aunque también me hacen ilusión, se vuelven tan cotidianos que terminar perdiendo ese toque diferente. Como fan absoluta e incansable de los zapatos -y también de Carrie (Sex and The city)- sabía que en mi vestidor no estaría completo hasta que tuviese unos Manolos, como nos gusta llamarlos y que se han convertido en un tributo. Y aunque estos maravillosos tacones Hangisi en color champán de Manolo Blahnik no son mi primer par, llevan años en mi wish-list y para qué engañarnos… Estaba deseando tacharlos de la lista. Hay otros zapatos de los que me encapricho según la temporada o las tendencias, pero a estos les juré amor eterno incluso antes de tenerlos. ¡Son los zapatos de mis sueños! Aunque para ser honesta, este sueño titulado «A shoe love story» tiene sitio para muchos más zapatos; me encanta este mismo modelo pero con print de flores de seda o en tweed de lana gris.
